Commercial Drain Repairs
Repairing cracked, damaged and broken drains across Yorkshire
Like any building structure, over a period of time wear and tear can cause damage to a commercial drain.
Many factors can cause a commercial drain to crack or become blocked, damaged or unsafe. These can range from tree root infiltration and corrosion to land subsidence in your business property.
In this instance the structural damage might require Easaway Environmental to undertake drain repair work and subsequent ongoing maintenance, but the sooner the drain damage is addressed and the broken drain is repaired, the better.
Initially Easaway Environmental will perform a CCTV drain survey to diagnose the drainage problem.
Whilst drain excavation is sometimes necessary to repair a cracked, damaged or broken drain, new drain technology and techniques will often allow Easaway Environmental to repair structural and non structural drain defects.
These ‘drain fix’ techniques give Easaway Environmental a distinct advantage because they provide a much quicker and more cost effective solution for commercial clients.
None Structural Repairs - Patch Lining
Water ingress through displaced and open joints can be very damaging to a drainage system and cause complete failure of the drain by washing the supporting soil surrounding the drain away. This also leaves the broken drain open to root ingress. Left to continue, the cracked, damaged or broken drain will ultimately collapse leaving no alternative but to excavate. By sealing the area of water ingress by using localise patch liners or chemical grouting, Easaway Environmental can prevent any further loss of support and reduce the risk of future failure. Patch liners can also be used to repair holes in broken drainpipes and fix small cracks.
Structural Repairs – Lining
Where the defect area is more extensive the pipe can either be replaced using traditional excavation or repaired using advanced soft lining techniques. The line is impregnated with a polyester resin and then inserted in to the broken drain. Once in place the liner is inverted using water or air pressure and left to cure. Depending on the resin being used and the ambient temperature at the time of installation will directly influence the curing time. In the vast majority of cases liners can be installed and cured the same day.
Easaway Environmental’s local drainage engineers in Yorkshire are highly skilled and trained not only to perform professional commercial drain repairs, and cope with all cracked, damaged and broken drains but also deal with very damaged drain eventuality.
